TALKING POINTS : We’ve all furious about the banning of words from the CDC’s budget requests, but let’s remember to keep our eye of the legislative balls facing our MOCs this week. We know by now that this administration loves to toss shiny new objects out there when they want to deflect our attention —but fortunately, we are so much smarter than they are, and our memory is long and focused.

- THE BUDGET & A LOOMING SHUTDOWN: No clean dream act, no budget. It’s that simple. Shut it down. Shut it all down. We expect our Members of Congress to raise hell on the floors of the House and Senate and in front of the cameras. We promised these young people. Now deliver on that promise.

- #TrumpTaxScam: This isn’t a tax bill. It’s a reallocation of wealth and a dismantling of health care. Republicans are selling out left and right to support this thing. We expect our Members of Congress to call them out on their sell-out and to remind Americans who these people really are. We also expect them to fight it to the bitter end. Don’t get sucked into their promises and deal-making. This is a BAD BILL for Americans, and no tinkering around the edges will fix it. This is their monkey and their circus - not ours.

- SEAT DOUG JONES! There is no reason whatsoever for his seating to drag into 2018. You know it. We know it. We cannot allow this miscarriage of process do go by without noise and consequences.

- And of course there’s so much more: those banned words, sexual harassment and consequences (we can’t hear you, Sen. Schatz), the egregious and idiotic appointments to the bench, and the rumors about firing Mueller and the ongoing “fake news” raging on the right about the investigation. Timing allowed, we’ll cover this too, and we’ll keep these things on the list until we get the resolution we want.
