Special Healthcare Tuesday

The Senate is down to the wire on health care. This week our goal is singular in focus. We are joining with almost 5,000 Indivisible groups across the US this Tuesday to take the policy discussions of health care and make them personal. We will remind our four MOCs - who are already opposing the TrumpCare bill - why they have to keep fighting hard on our behalf. Be prepared to share:

  • your personal story of health care - your battles with pre-existing conditions;

  • the cost of your medication without coverage;

  • the stories of your parents, grandparents and other loved ones who depend on Medicare + Medicaid.

PROPS : Bring your medical insurance card to prove that insurance impact everyone! Bring other visual aids - prescriptions, medical devices you depend on, photos of family members who are suffering, etc.

NOTE : Bring a photo ID. Protest-like signs are not allowed in the Federal Building, so let’s keep it clear-eyed and simple: this is our life we’re talking about, and we are counting on these guys to save the rest of us.

WHAT, WHERE + WHEN : Come 15 mins early this time!!

+ Option 1 : Visit the offices of Senator Schatz, Senator Hirono, and Congressperson Gabbard Federal Building at 300 Ala Moana (gather at 11:30am at Ala Moana/Makai side entrance)
