TALKING POINTS :

TRUMPCARE is Back and Worse Than Ever!  The Graham-Cassidy bill is the GOP’s last-ditch effort to pass TrumpCare before the September 30 deadline, and rumor has it that McCain may be onboard with this one. Senator Schatz is already teaming up with Schumer and others to lead the opposition to the bill, and we need all our MOCs to speak loudly and forcefully against this heinous legislation that will leave millions uninsured and others facing deep Medicaid cuts and higher out-of-pocket costs.  Please get on the phones and light up the offices of all MOCs you’ve got ties to - those from the state you grew up in, where you have family, where you own property, etc. We need every single vote we can get to stop this awful bill. (202-224-3121 is the switchboard; ask for the office of the MOC you’re calling.)

DREAMERS are depending on us! Our MOCs say they stand with Dreamers, so we want to know what they’re doing about it. And we want to be sure they don’t fall prey to Trump’s “deal” with “Nancy and Chuck.” He can’t be trusted on issues this important, and we need to keep the momentum behind the national sentiment to take care of these young people.

CLIMATE CHANGE may not be something Trump believes in, but leaders, scientists, and informed people around the world do and they are gathering in Bonn, Germany on November 6-17 for the UN Climate Change Conference. Senator Schatz says he’ll be there, as well as other US policy leaders. We are asking our MOCs to speak loudly about the Bonn Conference, supporting its objectives and the participation of US leaders and scientists in this important discussion. Our message to our global friends is this: We are the REAL AMERICA and we are with you. Our MOCs cannot be silent on this vital issue. We don’t have time. We want them to attend the conference as our representatives, and we want them to make it clear to their colleagues and to the world that we will not be silenced over these important issues. We are THE REAL AMERICA and we won’t stand by and let naysayers destroy our planet.
