TALKING POINTS :
1- THE MUELLER INVESTIGATION continues to take GOP fire, lately from Devin Nunes, who is back from his benching and threatening to dismantle the House investigation and issue a "corruption expose" about the FBI. Also, our very own Tulsi Gabbard didn't join 171 democrats in a letter supporting Mueller and his investigation. We want to know what our MOCs are doing to protect the investigation, and specifically, why Tulsi chose to ignore her colleagues and the letter.
2- CHIP, DACA, HEALTH CARE. A new year, the same issues. It's past time for the Dems to get this stuff done. Kids' lives hang in the balance, young people to whom we've made a promise are still scared, and our health care markets are in trouble. "We don't have the votes" isn't enough. This work is too important. What are our MOCs doing to do their job?
3- TRUMP'S HEALTH & MENTAL STATE has long been discussed in back rooms and whispers, but now it's starting to take center stage. The man's vocabulary alone is enough to create concern, along with the NYT interview that made absolutely no sense. Is Congress going to continue to remain quiet on these concerns or will 2018 be the year they shine light on his clear inability to serve?
